About the role

We are currently seeking a motivated and driven individual to join The North Face team based at our Melbourne office in Victoria. Reporting into the National Sales Manager, the Account Manager will be an ambassador of the brand within their territory covering Victoria & Tasmania.

The role is to manage the territory together with the Senior Account Manager, in order to increase the sales and profitability of the brand, along with carrying out the brand’s broader marketing objectives. In addition to this, the Account Manager will foster and develop long term relationships between The North Face and its customers, as well as develop opportunities to further enhance The North Face business and portfolio. This position will require travel around the great states of Victoria and Tasmania as well as some interstate travel from time to time.

If you’re organised, polite, and want to take on this territory, this will be a fun and rewarding role. The following skills and attributes will contribute to your success in the role:

  • Ideally 3+ years previous experience as an Account Manager or sales in the outdoor industry
  • Proven track record in meeting and exceeding sales targets and objectives
  • Well-developed people management skills
  • Outstanding relationship skills
  • Articulate verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work autonomously
  • Excellent customer liaison skills, both face-to-face and over the phone
  • Results orientated with a solid ability to successfully reach predetermined targets
  • Ability to think laterally when problem solving
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Good Microsoft Excel experience would be beneficial
