Help shape services where you're needed most.

Are you an experienced Area Manager looking for a dynamic role, or an exceptional OSHC or Early Childhood leader ready to take the next step into operations?

At TheirCare, we're looking for a Area Manager - Field Support to provide operational leadership and hands-on support across our Melbourne metropolitan services. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside our Operations Managers, strengthen service performance, and make a genuine impact wherever support is needed most.

No two weeks will be the same. You'll work across different regions, partnering with Area Managers and Operations Managers to provide targeted support, drive service improvement, and build capability within our teams.

About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll work across multiple Melbourne regions, stepping in where additional leadership is required. Whether you're supporting a region through growth, covering leave, preparing services for Assessment & Rating, or helping implement improvement plans, you'll be a trusted operational partner focused on delivering exceptional outcomes.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, building relationships quickly, solving challenges, and supporting teams to succeed.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Completing service visits and implementing improvement action plans.
  • Supporting services identified as priority, high-focus or approaching Assessment & Rating.
  • Reviewing service performance, compliance and operational practices to drive continuous improvement.
  • Providing rostering and operational support when required.
  • Temporarily stepping into Area Manager portfolios where vacancies or leave coverage is required.
  • Spending 1–2 weeks embedded within individual regions to complete operational deep dives, including service visits, compliance reviews, routines and team support.
  • Attending fortnightly planning meetings with the Victorian Operations Managers to determine regional priorities.
  • Travelling across metropolitan Melbourne, with occasional interstate travel opportunities if required.

About You

We're looking for someone who is passionate about developing people, improving service quality and leading by example.

You may already be an experienced Area Manager, or you could be a high-performing Service Coordinator, Centre Director or operational leader ready to take the next step in your career.

You'll bring:

  • Extensive experience within the OSHC or Early Childhood Education sector.
  • Previous leadership experience as an Area Manager, Centre Director, Coordinator or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations.
  • A passion for coaching, mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent organisational and relationship-building skills.
  • Confidence managing compliance, quality improvement and operational priorities.
  • A flexible approach and willingness to travel across Melbourne.
  • A current ACECQA-diploma approved qualification.
  • Current First Aid qualifications.
  • A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.

Why Join TheirCare?

At TheirCare, we invest in our people and provide genuine opportunities for career growth. As our Metro Floating Area Manager, you'll gain exposure to a wide variety of services, leadership teams and operational challenges while making a significant impact across the organisation.

Benefits include:

  • Up to 95% discount on childcare fees for your own children.
  • Ongoing professional development and leadership training.
  • Access to thousands of online learning modules and a complimentary Blinkist subscription.
  • Annual professional allowances of up to $4,000 (role dependent).
  • Employee Benefits through Humanforce Thrive.
  • Reward and Recognition programs.
  • A supportive leadership team committed to your success.
  • The opportunity to develop your operational leadership across multiple regions and accelerate your career.

If you're ready to make a difference across Melbourne and help lead high-quality outcomes for children, families and teams, we'd love to hear from you.
