We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate 2IC at our Emerson School to co-lead the OSHC program in a specialist school setting. This role is a key part of the Victorian Government’s High Intensity OSHC initiative. The service is fully funded by the Victorian Government and operates at a high staff to child ratios to appropriately meet the needs of each participant (approximately 1 educator for every 2 children).
The Role:
This role is full time - 38 hours a week - 10.00am - 6.00pm during term time where the role is a combination of administration hours and in service hours.

- Plan and prepare child focused programs for school aged children in a specialist school setting

Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate for the 2IC role will have the following:
- Experience leading teams in disability, education, or community services
- Confidence in behavioural management for children with high and complex needs
- High attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate a level of competency in utilising systems and software relevant to the role

Requirements:
In line with sector regulations, the following compliance documentation will be required for the role:
- Completed or in the process of completing an ACECQA recognised qualification, including but not limited to, studies in Teaching, Childcare or Community Services. For the full list of ACECQA recognised qualifications in your state, please visit www.acecqa.gov.au
- Must be available to work during service hours: 10:00am - 6:00pm and during school holiday periods (8:30am - 5.30pm)
- Employee Working with Children Check in Victoria
- Valid First Aid Certificate including CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training.
- Child Protection Training / Mandatory Reporting
