The Opportunity

The Banyans have an opportunity for Registered Nurses to join our multidisciplinary team in Brisbane. 

The Banyans Health and Wellness is a unique residence providing a private service for discerning individuals seeking recovery solutions. In a serene environment, our patients rediscover health and wellness following experiences of stress, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, substance misuse, dependency, grief, trauma and eating disorders. 

The successful candidate will have advanced organisational and communication skills and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment. This position is central to ensuring that The Banyans Health and Wellness Residence runs smoothly for our guests, and that they achieve the results they desire.

This role is unique as it provides you with the opportunity to utilise your advanced clinical skills in a dynamic environment, with positive outcomes witnessed every day!

About You

Our programs are residential based and the ideal person will possess the following:

  • Registration as a registered nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • At least 3-7 years post-graduate experience as a Registered Nurse working within emergency, ICU or other advanced practice clinical settings.
  • Advanced clinical assessment and treatment skills with background in acute settings (desirable)
  • Opportunity to utilise your advanced clinical skills in a dynamic environment
  • Proven experience in a mental health clinical setting, such as psychiatric hospitals or mental health facilities (desirable)
  • Postgraduate qualifications in mental health (desirable)
  • Demonstrated ability to be calm and considered under dynamic work conditions
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • High levels of computer literacy required
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays in addition to on call work
