The Opportunity

The Banyans Health and Wellness is an amazing integrated multi-disciplinary health care service that offers world-class residential and day programs. The Banyans seeks an experienced Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist to join our welcoming and exceptional team providing high quality care to our residential stay guests. This role affords a unique opportunity to work with a wide variety of presentations including addictions, eating disorders, trauma and mental health. This role allows for truly interdisciplinary working across a holistic program with highly skilled health professionals and is an exciting opportunity to engage in Psychology practice within a truly unique health care setting. This position is part time across 4 days per week.

The Psychologist will hold responsibility for the following tasks, and these will make up the majority of the work for the successful candidate:

·      clinical counselling services for guests of our Residential Program,

·      identifying and delivering suitable programs of treatment to guests,

·      supporting and collaborating with the wider team in support guests through their Residential stay,

·      coordinating guest support and associated wellness programs, including case management and family support, and

·      working within the team to ensure our guests receive positive outcomes from their treatment.

About You

Our programs are residential based, and the ideal person will possess the following:

·      Full registration as a 'psychologist' on the register of psychologists is important.

·      Clinical experience with a number of transdiagnostic treatment modalities

·      Strong interpersonal skills that allow you to develop collaborative relationships with guests and colleagues

·      Flexibility in your approach to working with a variety of guests and their families, operating in an individualised way with each person

·      You hold or are willing to obtain a current Working with Children Check and a NDIS Worker Screening Check prior to commencing along with a full, unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence
