Venue Host - Shell House

We’re looking for an experienced Venue Host to join the team at Shell House — one of Sydney’s most exciting multi-level dining destinations.

As the first face our guests see, you’ll set the tone for the entire experience. If you’re warm, confident, highly organised and thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a vibrant and supportive hospitality team.

About the Role

As Venue Host, you’ll manage the guest journey from the moment they arrive — creating a welcoming atmosphere while ensuring the smooth flow of service across our multi-level venue.

What You’ll Do

• Welcome guests with warmth, confidence and professionalism
• Manage reservations, waitlists and seating across multiple levels
• Coordinate with the floor team to optimise service flow and table turnover
• Handle guest enquiries and resolve issues with a calm, solutions-focused approach
• Maintain a polished and welcoming entrance and host area
• Assist with events and support the team during busy services

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a Host or in a similar front-of-house role
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills
• A genuine passion for hospitality and guest experience
• A friendly, confident personality with the ability to connect with guests
• Strong organisation and the ability to stay calm under pressure
• Availability to work evenings and weekends
