Early morning shifts 0545 - 0900 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to assist with the morning routine and prepare for school.
You must have experience with non-verbal clients with behaviours and use of an ACC device/program
The client has developmental delay and epilepsy, with challenging behaviours.
Be trained and supported by a team of experts, as part of the client's care team.
Hourly rate $34.67 (weekdays) to $62.41 (weekends).
We are seeking Home Care Workers (qualified and experienced) to care for our client in the Sunbury area.
Shifts
- Tuesday from 0545 - 0900 (morning)
- Wednesdays from 0545 - 0900 (morning)
The client and shift duties
- Diagnosis of ASD level 3, intellectual disability, global developmental delay, and epilepsy. Double incontinent and wears continence aids to support this.
- Can engage in self-injurious behaviour such as biting hands and scratching themselves when struggling to regulate,
- He has a BSP in place.
- Shifts are for the client to assist in getting up and ready for school, assist with showering, dressing, and breakfast.
- Ensuring the school bag is packed and completing the rest of the morning routine.
- See the client onto the bus.
Payrate
- Weekday 0600 to 2000 - $34.67
- Weekday 2000 to 0600 - $38.83
- Saturday - $48.54
- Sunday - $62.41
- Public Holiday - $76.28
Requirements
- Certificate III in Individual Support / HACC / Aged Care / Disability or equivalent
- MUST have a current Victorian driver's licence and a reliable vehicle.
- MUST have a clear National Police Check, within the last 2 years.
- MUST have a Working with Children's Check
- MUST have an NDIS Workers Check
- Consistent availability (same days/times every week or fortnight)
- Have a current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- Smart mobile phone
- Computer literacy and the ability to access emails
- Live within the local area or a 20-minute drive.
- We are only seeking candidates who reside within a 20-minute drive of the area.
