The opportunity

You are a data leader and an expert in consulting delivery across Data Architecture, Business Intelligence and Data Science. You enjoy delivering on the tools and delivering extraordinary outcomes by contributing through others. You add significant strategic value to the business and have a strong and positive influence to achieve successful results.

About you:

  • Successfully lead high-risk initiatives or engagements
  • Excel in conditions of complexity and uncertainty
  • Have experience delivering data projects using agile methodologies 
  • Be comfortable with modern cloud data architectures for Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (or both!) 
  • Have experience working in consulting environments - defining and working through problems with customers and engaging/influencing/negotiating with stakeholders at all levels
  • Have experience working with databases and big data technologies 
  • Be proficient in an RDBMS like SQL Server, MySQL or Postgres or Azure SQL or AWS Aurora 
  • Have experience architecting data structures such as data lakes, data vaults etc. using tools like Azure Data Factory, Purview and Synapse,
  • Be proficient in DevOps, Git and infrastructure-as-code for data platforms 
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills – you'll be in a team architecting the data platforms for our customers 
  • Proficiency with Power BI
  • Have an understanding of ethical standards around data & responsible use of data 
  • The ability to work closely with sales teams on technical pre-sales activities, including meeting with customers, working through business problems and requirements, architecting starting solutions, estimating effort and writing statements of work, proposals and tender responses
