What’s the opportunity?

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing integrated programs of work through leading best practice campaign strategies and tactics that ensure a measurable positive impact on the Telstra Health brand, customer engagement, pipeline and revenue. Coaching and developing direct-line reports and creating and driving strategic narratives, the Marketing Manager will be required to draw on their extensive leadership capabilities to fulfill the requirements of this role and support the delivery of a connected and improved digital health experience. In guiding and continuously improving processes for creating and deploying campaigns and events, success will be achieved by helping to deliver qualified prospects to the sales team, collaborating effectively with the communications team, and deepening engagement throughout the customer lifecycle. 

About the role:

The Marketing Manager - Sales, Marketing, and Communications at Telstra Health is responsible for developing and executing effective demand generation campaigns, aligning and driving brand messaging, creating strategic narratives and values propositions, and enhancing customer engagement across various touchpoints. Responsible for performing an extensive range of complex technical and professional activities, this role will also lead and coach a diverse team, apply best practice people management skills and demonstrate the ability to develop and empower employees, driving a high-performance team culture.

Customer Engagement

Driving customer engagement and leading initiatives to improve the customer experience, the Marketing Manager will:

  • Lead initiatives to measure and improve Net Promoter Score (NPS), analyse feedback, and implement strategies to enhance customer experiences and satisfaction.
  • Identify and nurture key reference customers for case studies, testimonials, and customer advocacy programs, ensuring strong relationships with influential users.
  • Leads the organising and engagement of user group communities, hosting regular forums, events, and webinars to foster customer interaction and gather insights for product improvements.
  • Establish feedback loops from NPS and user groups for continuous improvement.

Growth Marketing

  • Leverage best practice to create the best growth marketing campaigns for specific segments to meet predefined goals, aligned to the customer buying journey.
  • Create campaigns that meet acquisition, nurturing, loyalty, advocacy, and account-based marketing needs, and best leverage our investment in content, technology, process, and people.
  • Establish measures of success and reporting mechanisms to demonstrate the ROI of marketing investments.
  • Create digital marketing campaigns that drive customer lifecycle engagement, including lead generation, lead nurturing, and customer loyalty marketing.
  • Effectively integrate into a campaign design market need, personas, customer buy cycles, segmentation, and best practices on how to drive increasing engagement with target markets.
  • Define tests to experiment with different campaign techniques.

Brand Alignment and Consolidation

  • Create a strong messaging framework and strategic narrative to be implemented across every customer touchpoint and through customer stories, including website content/collateral, driving awareness of Telstra Health across diverse portfolios and the larger digital health ecosystem.

Content Development

  • Develop and maintain Telstra Health website content and associated collateral.
  • Lead the creation of digital campaign content and work with creative vendors to bring these to life.
  • Showcase thought-leadership to build credibility and expertise across different market sectors, drawing on the use of personas.

Experiential Events Program

  • Design and execute on Telstra Health’s events program, including own, Telstra, and third-party health sector events, contributing to improvement of systems.

Marketing Strategy and Analysis

  • Lead the creation of digital marketing campaigns, including planning documents that incorporate the campaign brief, campaign blueprint, and creative brief for execution of the campaigns.
  • Demonstrate marketing influence on revenue. Must show the efficacy of campaigns and be able to adjust based on reporting analysis.
  • Define campaign ROI.
  • Consult on customer engagement, business process alignment, and marketing best practices as they relate to campaign design.

People Leadership and Managerial Responsibilities

  • Improving organisational performance by developing the performance of individuals and workgroups to meet agreed objectives with measurable results.
  • Managing creative and media agencies to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget.
  • Providing authoritative advice and direction while working within complex areas of work. 
  • Enhancing employee engagement and ways of working, empowering a diverse group of employees and supporting a high performing team culture.
  • Effectively collaborating with other teams including the Communications Team to promote team cohesion and integrated solutions. 
  • Applying industry knowledge to define the standards that others will apply. 

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Influence the organisation, customers and partners with their specialist knowledge and technical expertise.
  • Create and facilitates collaborative ways of working with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate and utilises impactful communication skills in all engagements with internal and external stakeholders.

 

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing or related field is required.
  • Demonstrated success in leading people and culture, overseeing performance management within a marketing environment.
  • Proven experience in managing customer engagement programs, including driving improvements in Net Promoter Score (NPS) and customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated success in establishing marketing objectives, KPIs, and measuring and improving the ROI of marketing investments.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful reference customer programs that generate case studies, testimonials, and advocacy, bringing innovative solutions to marketing challenges. 
  • Experience in a similar role, developing and executing integrated growth marketing programs that utilise multiple channels, including social, digital, media and events.
  • Experience managing and configuring a marketing automation tool. 
  • Experience using CRM to support the execution of campaigns and completing analysis of data from a wide variety of sources to both uncover insights and report on the effectiveness of campaigns.  
  • Experience running sponsorships and niche events, maximising lead-in and lead-out activity and lead generation. 
  • Experience in facilitating and growing user groups or customer communities, including organising events and forums and strong track record of monitoring and analysing customer engagement metrics to inform and adjust strategies.
  • Experience creating and implementing customer feedback loops from NPS surveys and user interactions to drive continuous improvement.

Desirable:

  • Minimum of 8 years in B2B marketing, with previous health technology or MedTech services highly regarded.
  • Experience marketing complex ICT solutions and/or business services highly regarded.
