What’s the opportunity?

Impactful opportunity to join the National Cancer Screening Register and contribute to the prevention, detection and treatment of bowel cancer.

What can I expect?

  • Respond to escalated enquiries via phone, email and electronic messages from State & Territory partners, participants, clinicians, and laboratories
  • Provide assistance to the Bowel Follow Up Team Leader as required with escalation of routine and complex queries
  • Provide support for complex cases to internal business units
  • Record clinical and additional related information about participants in accordance with register protocols, including liaising with participants, healthcare providers and pathology laboratories to obtain information about participant outcomes following positive screening test results.
  • Undertake review and remediation of participant records to ensure accuracy of information held in the NCSR.
  • Comply with established Register quality procedures and report any non-conformances to the Follow-up or Quality Manager
  • Undertake system testing and verification activities

You will enjoy building strong relationships with key stakeholders, knowing how to engage with a customer centric approach.

We are looking someone who is an excellent communicator who understands how to collaborate and connect across various teams to drive outcomes and get results. Essential to your success will be your demonstrated knowledge and experience working with database software. Very highly desired is a working knowledge of medical terminology, clinical and pathological disease processes.

About you:

  • Demonstrated ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Australian healthcare system
  • Sound understanding of medical terminology, clinical and pathological disease processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and formulate solutions in a legislative environment.
  • Well developed computing skills/practical working knowledge of database software including skills in Mircrosoft Office including Excel.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the capacity to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication skills including verbal, written and presentation formats.
  • Strong attention to detail.
