What’s the opportunity?          

This role is in the Adelaide based health costing team working with our Australian developed application PowerPerformance Manager.

Acting as a trusted consultant, the Implementation Specialist supports Telstra Health clients and internal teams in the development, implementation and ongoing support post-implementation of Telstra Health solutions. This incorporates Incident Management, Problem Management, Project Management, Application Configuration, Training and Support.

In participating in the deployment and integration of systems and software, the Implementation Specialist is contributing to Telstra Health’s vision of an improved digital health experience.

About the role:

The Implementation Specialist is responsible for working as part of the Telstra Health Implementation Team to ensure successful deployment and integration of systems, software, or technology solutions for clients and internal teams, contributing to this through the following accountabilities:

Implementation Advice and Guidance

  • Providing authoritative advice and direction on the use of software tools for implementations.
  • Gathering and documenting customers business requirements via project meeting and workshops.
  • Analysis of customer operational processes and configuring the application to optimise.
  • Provide technical support and advice pre and post implementation.
  • Assisting with resolution and reproduction of application problems either in development or in production.
  • Advising and sharing knowledge on standards and how to comply.
  • Development of project documentation for customer usage.

Change Implementation

  • Assist in providing support and guidance on portfolio, programme and project management processes, procedures, tools and techniques.
  • Cultivating and applying new or changed working practices across a portfolio.
  • Managing the rate at which new projects are started to fit the available capacity.
  • Advising on the development, production and maintenance of business cases time, resource, cost and exception plans.
  • Delivery of application training to customer and sufficient handover of these materials to all supporting parties.
  • Tracking and reporting progress and performance. 

Technology Management

  • Install or remove hardware and/or software, using supplied installation instructions and tools, including handover to the client.
  • Testing installations, correct problems, and document results using standard procedures and diagnostic tools. This includes writing and executing test plans, test scripts, test results and defect reports. 
  • Recording details of all components that have been installed and removed. Assists users and follows agreed procedures for further help or escalation.
  • Contributes to the development of installation procedures and standards.

About you:

  • Successful completion of an Accounting, Economics or Health related degree
  • A current Australian Driver’s License
  • Will be required to travel locally and interstate
  • A sound understanding of the Australian Healthcare system
  • Working knowledge of Casemix systems and patient costing methodology
  • Demonstrated ability to gather and document customer business requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in projects implementing or deploying Clinical Systems, as well as requirements documentation and demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision
  • Understand and work within an appropriate Project Management Methodology (i.e. PMBOK, Prince 2). 
  • Experience managing the customer lifecycle from beginning to end, including the management of associated CRM or project records.
