As the Senior IT Security Advisor in the Telstra Health Security Team your role is key to take responsibility and have oversight of the operation and maintenance of Information Security controls and related compliance activities to ensure control objectives for Security Operations team are maintained.

- Managing the creation and maintenance of key security governance documentation for projects and daily security operations
- Initiating and leading collaboration with business stakeholders to ensure system compliance is achieved
- Initiating, engaging and collaborating with stakeholders to collect information, facilitate project decisions and develop strong relationships
- Providing expert level advice and guidance to stakeholders on Information Security requirements and governance and compliance efforts
- Leading key business processes supporting Information Security controls
We are looking for:
- A minimum 10 years’ experience as an experienced information security professional, with a focus on governance, risk and compliance
- Demonstrated capacity to interpret client requirements and transition these into workable and sustainable security outcomes
- Strong experience with one or more information security compliance regimes: PCI DSS, ISO 27001, NIST, ISM, PSPF
- Ability to clearly document both technical and functional requirements including the ability to understand and facilitate the documentation of use cases and workflows
- Expertise in Atlassian Stack applications - Confluence and Jira
- Ideally some development experience especially secure development/shift left principles and use of tools such as Coverity and Blackduck
- Strong communication skills and presentation experience to senior management audiences both internally and externally
- Team leadership experience
