QA Analyst

What’s the opportunity? 

Telstra Health offers software applications, and platforms that connect health information, patients and providers. We offer our solutions to the pharmacy, public and private hospital, primary care, diagnostic, Indigenous health, and aged, disability and community care sectors in Australia, as well as to Government and other health funders 

Telstra Health is seeking a QA Analyst to join a team leading the delivery of exciting new connected health solutions. This role will deliver solutions for seamless information exchange between Telstra Health and the healthcare ecosystem. 

This role is instrumental in delivering the Telstra Health mission through the planning and execution of test strategies/plans during the design and development of software applications and platforms that connect health information, patients and providers. 

 

What can I expect? 

Duties and responsibilities: 

  • Participate in the software development lifecycle end to end, from concept to release, deployment and support. 
  • Set-up and execute system, integration, and regression testing.  
  • Review functional specifications/user stories to determine test requirements for new features/enhancements. 
  • Capture test requirements from formal/informal discussions with business team/stakeholders and able to convert them into test/user stories and able to verify that application functionality implemented reflect the same.  
  • Conducting functional, non-functional system and application testing of applications. 
  • Evaluate, establish and monitor the efficiency and quality standards of the application development lifecycle. 
  • Suggest process and quality enhancements and help drive product and test requirements for improved diagnostics, and work with development team on analysis of code hotspots, test coverage, and defect discovery and resolution. 
  • Provide top level support the application support, product and professional services teams when issues are escalated 

 

About you: 

Education & Qualifications 

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent work experience 

Skills & Experience 

  • Minimum of 4 years in a Test Analyst role. 
  • Manual testing of Portal/Web services.  
  • Ability to perform initial analysis and debugging.  
  • Strong trouble shooting skills.  
  • Test design, planning, functional and non-functional requirements.  
  • Performance testing using Load Runner / JMeter.  
  • Ability to work on multiple lines of work concurrently.  
  • Software engineering process of configuration, test, build, deploy management and continuous integration. 
  • Database technologies: MS SQL 
  • Writing technical documentation and using test tools such as JIRA, Testrail 
  • Knowledge of test automation, scripting (desirable) 

Desirable:

Healthcare industry background is highly desirable, including. 

  • Experience in healthcare data exchange standards such as HL7, FHIR, DICOM, and other relevant protocols. 
  • An understanding of healthcare data exchange protocols and interoperability. 
  • Experience in integration work, preferably on platforms like SmileCDR and Rhapsody.
