The Project Support Officer will be responsible for supporting the Program Management Lead on this exciting government contract, by establishing and managing the program plan and schedule, quality management, risk and issue management, transition budget management, timely engagement of stakeholders, and regular program reporting. 

Help us shape a connected future for healthcare by:

  • Implementing and maintaining a common project management methodology, standards and tools (e.g. templates and guidelines)
  • Maintenance and control of project information e.g. Sharepoint structure and Library, filing, recording and reporting systems, RAPSI/Deliverables Register, RAID (where support to Risk Manager is needed), change control procedure and change request log, and any other relevant project documentation
  • Maintaining, further elaborating as necessary, and reporting against Project Schedule and Plan
  • Coordinating production / delivery of all project status reports and producing draft Program Summary Status Report(s) for Program Steering Committee and higher.
  • Coordinating project budget reporting in support of Program Summary Status Report
  • Managing any project change requests and maintain change request log
  • Reviewing Deliverables and other project outputs, as required, for consistency and quality.
  • Developing/implementing effective communication mechanisms for the Program Director and between project teams / Workstreams / partners.
  • Advising and assisting Workstream Leads for specific, agreed activities e.g. Phased Go-Live Presentation (MS PowerPoint).

Requirements:

  • Essential - Demonstrable previous experience supporting / working in a large business change and technology-based project i.e. must understand the theory of project management as well as real-project implementation
  • Experience in project scheduling, using MS Project.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of groups, both internally and externally to deliver the program.
  • Program / project management qualifications/certifications - essential e.g. CERT IV, PRINCEII, Managing Successful Programs (MSP), AIPM or PMP qualification, or Degree in field.
  • Australian Citizenship is an essential criteria for this application in order to work on this government contract.
