What’s the opportunity?

Join The Telstra Health team as a Business Analyst and be part of the NCSR Reporting and Epidemiology teams, dedicated to providing high-quality, accurate data for national cancer screening programs. At NCSR, our mission is to be Australia’s trusted cancer prevention platform, contributing to the leading provider of digital health solutions that shape a connected future for healthcare.

This is a full-time fixed term contract until the end of July 2025.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Engage with a range of stakeholders/users to collect and analyse report requirements.
  • Translate business needs and requirements into report specifications, including change requests.
  • Develop requirement, specification, and design documentation.
  • Develop user testing approaches and facilitate testing with end users, including producing test summaries on completion.
  • Support release planning by aligning with business requirements and specifications.
  • Document and maintain the reporting catalogue, requirements, data definitions, procedures, and policies.
  • Support analysis of complex data sets, derive actionable insights, and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Support the build comprehensive reports, dashboards, and data visualization to facilitate informed decision-making by key stakeholders.
  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of data, adhering to established data governance policies and best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver effective business intelligence and reporting solutions.
  • Identify and address data-related issues, proposing and implementing innovative solutions to enhance data quality and efficiency

About you:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Business/Data Analyst role with expertise in requirements elicitation, preferably within healthcare related fields.
  • Ability to succeed in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a business audience.
  • Proficient in Agile methodologies (user story management, backlog management), with a strong ability to manage work packages and activities, monitor progress and update tracking tools.
  • Desirable experience with large Health-related datasets 
  • Desirable proficiency in PowerBI
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change and learn in a fast-paced environment.  
  • High enthusiasm, analytic and inquisitive nature.
  • Essential requirement: The candidate must meet the requirements to obtain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency Baseline Security Clearance. Australian citizenship is essential for this application.
