What’s the opportunity?

This is a full-time, fixed-term contract for 12 months, offered on a remote basis. The role requires flexibility to travel to local or rural client sites to deliver face-to-face training, with occasional interstate travel as needed.

The core purpose of the Training Specialist is to empower users with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively utilise our software solutions. To enhance user proficiency, drive adoption, and maximise the value derived from our products, by delivering comprehensive and engaging training programs to new and existing customers.

Fundamental to this position is a responsibility to deliver both classroom-based, one on one and online webinar training sessions for Telstra Health software solutions. The training specialist will be responsible for ensuring training material is updated. Working with clients to deliver:

  • Online training and webinars
  • Consultancy services by working with the client to determine how the software should best be trained and implemented
  • Solutions to issues that arise as part of the implementation and training program

 Work with the Customer Training and Development Lead to:

  • Update and enhance software training materials
  • Train and upskill internal team members
  • Undertake software testing as part of the development release cycle
  • Identify opportunities and implement changes to improve our service offering

About the role:

Training and Post-Implementation Support

  • Conduct post-training reviews to gather feedback, identify areas for improvement, and apply lessons learned to future training sessions.
  • Ensure documentation for all aspects of training are maintained and kept up-to-date.

 Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication

  •  Provide consistent updates on training progress, schedules and outcomes to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Involve stakeholders in the planning and development of training programs to ensure specific needs are met and unique challenges overcome whilst maintaining best practice.

 Continuous Improvement and Best Practices

  • Stay up to date with software updates, industry trends, government legislation, and best practices in training methodologies.
  • Utilise a variety of training methods to cater to different learning styles.
  • Foster a collaborative learning environment where trainees can share experiences and learn from each other.

About you:

  • Minimum 2 years experience
  • Previous experience delivering structured classroom based training is essential.
  • Previous experience in delivering online training is essential.
  • Past exposure to the health care industry will be highly regarded, along with a tertiary qualification in a business or clinical discipline.
  • Ability to understand a client's business processes and communicate changes.
  • Strong knowledge of software services and solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills including the ability to present effectively.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and team members.
  • Self-motivated with a high level of energy.
  • Thrives when there is a challenge whilst maintaining a positive outlook.
  • Experience working independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Can respond to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Solid ability to collaborate, influence and communicate with diverse stakeholders in a client setting.
  • Can work well under pressure and has a close attention to detail.
