TBWA\ is looking for a senior conceptual designer to join the team.

We’re after a conceptual designer to build on our design and craft capabilities, further developing our offering across the group. We want someone that’s insightful and invested in creating considered and crafted work, taking ideas and elevating the work to its greatest potential.

This is a role best suited to someone with 6+ years in a design/creative agency with experience across branding, art direction and delivery of engaging design-work. You’ll be great at conceptualising and demonstrate a high level of craft skills, typographic excellence and detail oriented design. You don’t need a design degree (if you do have one, great) just a strong proven track record accompanied by a portfolio or website that showcases the high level work you’ve created.

If you’ve completed additional courses or won shiny things—even better. We want to take the skills you have and provide opportunities to develop them further with some of the best people to learn from, and clients to work on.

As a natural problem solver, you’ll influence all phases of design through to execution. Assisting in the creation, ideation and delivery of projects across the design and creative teams across the TBWA\ group. You’ll be easy to work with, a good mentor who loves growing talent.

Resonsibilities of this role

  • Coming up with clear and strategic design responses to briefs through channel-agnostic design/art direction
  • You’re driven by the pursuit of elegant design solutions and crafted treatments
  • You will understand the client’s needs, listening closely so you can come up with an informed understanding and deliver well considered, thoughtful responses.
  • Create and craft original and usable concepts/designs in response to strategic/creative briefs
  • Have a passion for brands and branding, the ability to design logos, the creation of brand identities and design guidelines
  • Present work in a clear, coherent and professional manner
  • Work closely with relevant teams, ensuring effective communication and management of teams’ expectations
  • Manage and own design/creative output to ensure consistency and quality of work delivered
  • Prioritise your own workload to ensure team’s demands are met and managed

Experience required

  • 6+ years experience in a design/creative environment
  • Exceptional design, art direction, layout, typography and design skills
  • A diverse portfolio demonstrating clear ideas-based thinking, brand systems/identity, strong craft and implementation
  • Comprehensive skills in the Adobe Creative Suite (Experience in 3D, motion, animation app’s an advantage)
  • Creative and ideas driven and genuinely passionate about design
  • Someone who is meticulous, organised and able to multitask
  • Incredible attention to detail. Ensure your work is fully critiqued/fit for purpose from commercial, client and creative/technical perspectives.
