Primary Purpose:
Your will be responsible to analyse, report and reforecast sales, gross margins and related components and metrics on weekly, monthly, quarterly and within periods as needed on a timely basis through strong ability to synthesize data and liaising with key stakeholders across the multiple functions to ensure accurate results, robust assumptions and informed decision making.
Skills and Attributes:
- Drive the reporting, analysis and planning of sales and gross margin for ANZ direct businesses.
- Track and communicate sales and business performance - synthesize and explain daily/weekly/monthly performance and variances against plans/targets/past results for regular review by local/regional/ leadership teams.
- Identify and highlight SWOT, deliver key insights, and be a key contributor to crucial and timely discussion points.
- Provide data points and insights to ensure appropriate merchandising and expense planning.
- Support development of quarterly/annual forecasts and Long-Range Plans, while continuously aligning teams and plans to the strategies and direction.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting relevant to the covered markets / brands to support management decision making / fulfil requests from business partners.
- Manage and maintain all KPIs including but not limited to sales performance/benchmarking, traffic, conversion, productivity per store / size / customer/ labour hr, ADT, UPT, AUR, AUC, DR%, Gross Margin, IMU%.
Who You Are:
- 5-8 years’ experience in management accounting, finance business partnering or commercial finance preferably in Retail or other B2C businesses
- Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in accounting / finance, merchandising, economics, or supply chain.
- High intermediate to advanced Excel skills (transactional data retrieval and summarization including but not limited to vlookups, pivot tables, other data consolidation and summarization skills including sumif, sum product, and index/match, macro building a plus)
- Experience in financial/merchandising/planning systems, business analytics tools (BI / PowerBI), and SAP a plus
- Robust analytical skills united to a strong commercial mindset and the ability to create sound partnerships with key stakeholders
- Ability to present and communicate with all levels including upper management
- Ability to perform well under pressure with multiple deadlines, demonstrating a great deal of adaptability to a fast pace and flexibility managing change
- Proactiveness as a self-starter and able to work both independently and as a team player.
