About the Role
We are seeking a driven and proactive Team Leader Catering to support the Catering Coordinator and Hotel Services team in the smooth, day-to-day operations of our catering services. Catering services are provided across our Residential Aged Care facility, Bolga Court and Nursing Home, Lakeview. External catering services are also provided to community clients through services such as Meals on Wheels.
You will assist with developing and maintaining effecting rosters that align with staffing levels and organisation needs. Rostering experience and flexibility is essential as you will also be required to cover staff absences and backfill kitchen shifts, when necessary, along with supporting a variety of operational tasks as they arise.
In this leadership role, you will oversee and support staff to ensure all tasks and responsibilities are complete to a high standard. You will act as a direct contact for general enquiries, support and guidance within the Hotel Services team.
A strong commitment to food safety will ensure daily activities are undertaken in line with health and infection control guidelines and THS food safety requirements. This includes undertaking regular audits across key areas such as refrigeration, food waste and temperature as well an ensuring cleaning schedules, food handling and safety meet compliance.
This dynamic role offers plenty of variety, with no two days the same. A proactive, can-do attitude will be key to navigating competing priorities and responding to unexpected challenges. You’ll be supported by an experienced, dedicated team whilst working onsite at our Tallangatta facility.
This permanent part-time position is offered at 0.8 EFT (64 hours) per fortnight, with preferred hours and days of work negotiable with the preferred candidate.

About you
You are self-motivated with a strong ability to multi-task and natural desire to provide high-quality outcomes, you will also have the following;
- Demonstrated experience in ordering catering goods and services
- Solid understanding of food safety standards, with the capability to apply them effectively in the workplace
- Proven ability to develop rosters, coordinate staffing needs, and respond on short notice.
- Current Food Safety Certificate
- Adaptable to change and have a commitment to continuous quality improvement
All appointments are made subject to the required security screening including National Criminal History, NDIS Worker Screening checks and an immunisation status appropriate to the role.
