About the role 

We are inviting applications based in the Mitta Valley, to join our My Community Home Care (MCHC) team to support consumers in Dartmouth, Mitta Mitta, Eskdale and/or Tallandoon.  

You will provide person-centred care, assisting our consumers to live independently in their own homes by providing assistance with domestic care.  

This is a Monday to Friday (no weekend work) role and requires a current First Aid certificate or a willingness to obtain.  

The position would suit somebody living in the Mitta Valley and willing to travel, using their own vehicle, within the areas of Dartmouth, Mitta Mitta, Eskdale and Tallandoon. Ad hoc attendance at Tallangatta is required for training. Reimbursement of Private Motor Vehicle costs, as per our policy, is applicable. 

What's on Offer: 

Permanent part-time or casual hours, minimum 0.2 EFT to 0.4 EFT (further hours may be possible as demand increases) 

Shift length based on your availability and the needs of our consumers 

Flexibility to find a fit that works for you 

Full training provided 

$28-$32 per hour (plus 25% casual loading, where applicable)

About you 

You are a friendly, diligent and want to support our consumers to live life to their potential. Other requirements are: 

  • A commitment to providing quality care to our consumers 
  • Strong communication and consumer service skills 
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and problem solve 
  • Able to follow written instructions and procedures 
  • Current Drivers License and registered, roadworthy vehicle 

Certificate III in Individual Support/ Aged Care is welcomed but not required for domestic care. 

All appointments are made subject to the required security screening including National Criminal History, NDIS Worker Screening checks and an immunisation status appropriate to the role, including the annual Influenza vaccination.
