The International Investment Attraction Unit engages with the TIQ overseas and regional offices, overseas investors and local investees to create new employment and drive new productive foreign investment into Queensland. The Unit engages with stakeholders including private sector companies, professional services firms, financial institutions and senior officers in various government agencies at a local, state and federal level to attract new overseas investment to Queensland.
Reporting to the Global Investment Commissioner, International Investment Attraction, you will work across various priority sectors including energy, resources, agriculture, manufacturing, head office establishment, innovation and other sectors, and assist the team lead TIQ's international investment pipeline of projects through to measurable investment successes. You will contribute to meeting TIQ investment targets, work closely with the International Investment Commissioner and team on a range of international investment projects, and play an important role contributing to strategy and practical project implementation.
To be successful in this role you will
- Provide high level confidential administrative and operational support to the Global Investment Commissioner and wider team including:
- diary and travel management; monthly budget monitoring and analysis, processing expenditure approvals, invoices and accounts
- assisting departmental and ministerial briefings, meeting agendas, reports, submissions and presentations/events
- ensuring quality control and efficient processing of the workflow of the team
- undertaking research and analysis to identify a range of options to support a range of investment projects
- assist with investment project support and investment reporting
- work in with the TIQ overseas offices and regional offices on a wide range of investment matters
- maintaining knowledge of Investment database information
- Actively participate in the delivery and coordination of other business management functions and projects both domestically and internationally as required
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in all administrative documents associated with activities within the division
- Continuously improve office management systems including information management, filing and tracking systems
- Establish and maintain effective stakeholder communication with both private and public sector organisations
