The Department of Tourism, Innovation and Sport are looking for a temporary full-time Senior Correspondence Officer (AO5) to join the Office of Director-General.
This opportunity is a backfill arrangement that is available until 30 June 2022 and is based at 1 William Street, Brisbane QLD.
As the Senior Correspondence Officer, you will:
- support the provision of accurate and timely advice in response to Ministerial and departmental correspondence, briefs and executive documents
- assist the Manager, Executive Services in prioritising and coordinating the flow of correspondence to ensure efficient and timely preparation of departmental briefs and correspondence.
As the Senior Correspondence Officer you will have responsibility for the following:
- coordinate the distribution, tracking and flow of briefings and correspondence for the approval of the Director-General and senior executives of the department, and meet competing timelines
- coordinate and prepare responses to incoming Ministerial and Director-General correspondence, briefing notes and requests in consultation with the Executive Services Unit and senior staff of the department
- ensure that briefings and correspondence are prepared in accordance with the department’s Style Guide
- establish and maintain strong working relationships and networks with clients and departmental officers to ensure a culture of service delivery and achievement of negotiated guidelines
