We have a great opportunity for a Driver to join our busy team here at TAB NZ. This is a brand new role, so a great chance to get to make the role your own and contribute to the Racing Services Team. If you have a love for the sports and the racing industry, this role could be for you.
You will be responsible for the delivery and set up of our equipment on race tracks. This includes planning the technical resources required, delivering these safely and on time to the track including, installation and pre-testing of raceday equipment to meet the raceday plan. This role also provides some support to raceday operations undertaking assigned race day control functions. This role works over 30 hours a week and includes weekend work and some public holidays.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Planning – Working alongside the racing team to pre plan events
Driving and delivery of truck, control van and equipment –Delivery of equipment and installation prior to racing day(s)
Pre testing of race day equipment – Setup and break down of equipment
Race day support - Assist with any equipment maintenance and raceday faults.
Vehicle Management - Manage all vehicles (tote caravan, truck, trailer, control vans) and ensure they are roadworthy and that safety regulations are followed by obtaining Certificate of Fitness’ for vehicles.
To be successful in this role you will:
Hold a Heavy vehicle licence class 5 (essential) OR class 4
Have some knowledge of racing product (preferred)
Ability to plan, communicate and work cooperatively
Strong customer focus
Be willing and able to lift heavy equipment safely when needed
