Join Sydney Water as a Development Consultant and play a key role in managing our interface with small, medium and large residential and commercial / industrial infrastructure projects, ensuring seamless collaboration and delivery. As a Development Consultant, you will be responsible for components of end-to-end case management to ensure the seamless delivery of essential infrastructure. Specific responsibilities will depend on the specific team. Generally, your responsibilities will include:

• Provides accurate advice to customers within corporate response times; has a working knowledge of property development and connectivity guidelines, processes and policies.
• Maintaining case management documentation with a strong focus on quality control.
• Facilitating meetings with internal and external stakeholders to help developers’ applications stay on track with their project deadlines.
• Read and interpret plans, diagrams and maps associated with property development.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
• Calculating and issuing consolidated charges to WSCs and developers with precision and accountability.

About You

We are looking for a proactive, solutions-driven professional with:

• Experience in working within a development servicing / customer service / planning environment, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and deliver results.
• Demonstrated high level of customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse options and provide strategic recommendations.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to consult, negotiate, and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• The ability to assess and review key documents, including commercial deeds and project finalisation packages.
• Knowledge of infrastructure servicing types (water, wastewater, stormwater, recycled water) would be beneficial.
