Role Overview: 

The Guest Services Manager is responsible for leading a team of Front of House Duty Managers and Ushers who ensure the safety and exceptional experience of patrons at The Wharf and Roslyn Packer Theatre. This role oversees the professional, consistent, and exemplary level of customer service across the Front of House (FOH) department and manages all venue operations after hours, including Box Office and FOH services during performances and events.

Contract and Hours of Work: 

This is a permanent full-time role; the usual hours of work are 38 hours week Monday to Sunday. You will be required to work at least three evenings per week including weekends during performance weeks and act as the FoH Manager for all Opening nights at the RPT and Wharf Theatres.

Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, preferably in the Arts, Theatre or Entertainment industry
  • Proven leadership and team management skills in a customer service environment
  • Experience managing venue operations, including Box Office and FOH services
  • Strong rostering and scheduling expertise include use of a electronic rostering system (eg Human Force)
  • Calm under pressure with exemplary customer service skills
  • Excellent communication, planning, and budget management skills
  • Experience in using in Tessitura or a similar CRM system
  • Previous experience with working with merchandise as a commercial sales avenue is desirable.
