Role Overview:
The IT Business Analyst acts as a hybrid Business Analyst and Project Manager, partnering with stakeholders to conduct business process reviews, identify improvement opportunities, and define clear solution requirements. The role bridges business and technology, ensuring initiatives are well-scoped, fit-for-purpose, and aligned to organisational priorities.
Responsibilities include analysing current and future state processes, determining solution needs, and managing delivery end-to-end. Covering requirements, prioritisation, testing (including UAT), and implementation.
Success is measured by improved business processes and user experience, clear and prioritised requirements, efficient delivery of solutions, reduced rework, and strong stakeholder adoption.

What We're Looking For:
Experience & Core Skills
- Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst delivering business process and system change.
- Strong requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation skills (user stories, BRDs/FRDs, acceptance criteria).
- Ability to map and improve business processes (current/future state, impact assessment).
- Strong stakeholder management and facilitation across diverse business areas and third parties.
- Experience supporting testing and release activities, including UAT planning and defect management.
- Comfortable working with data (e.g. spreadsheets, reporting tools) to validate insights and measure outcomes.
- Strong written communication skills, producing clear documentation for both business and technical audiences.
- Well organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
- Experience working in structured delivery environments using tools such as Jira, Lucidchart, Visio & Power BI or similar for requirements management, process & data modelling, and delivery tracking.
- Identify and evaluate solution options, including process redesign, vendor platforms, and AI-enabled approaches where they meaningfully improve outcomes, efficiency, or user experience.
Qualifications, Technical Skills & Tools
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Business, or related field (desirable)
- 2+ years’ IT Business Analysis experience
- Project management training or experience in Agile, Scrum, or similar
- Experience with Microsoft administration and SaaS platforms
- Exposure to data modelling and SQL databases
