Role Overview:

The Marketing Manager, Campaigns plays a crucial role in Sydney Theatre Company’s marketing efforts, devising and delivering paid campaigns geared at ticket sales, as well as wider marketing initiatives, including touring, brand, audience development, and tourism campaigns, and marketing for STC’s Public Programs. This role is primarily based in Walsh Bay, Sydney.

Contract and Hours of Work: 

This role is a full-time 1-year fixed term contract position, Monday to Friday (38hours), based at STC Wharf Offices. As Sydney Theatre Company is a live performance organisation, you will also be required to work outside these hours from time to time. STC does have flexible working arrangements and policies for managing after hours work as agreed with the supervising manager.

Selection Criteria

Essential

  • At least 6+ years’ experience in marketing campaigns.
  • Demonstrated Performing Arts marketing campaign experience, coupled with a passion and interest for the industry.
  • Strong track record in delivering direct to consumer revenue goals.
  • Strengths in data-led decision making and the use of customer insight to inform strategy.
  • Advanced campaign and project management experience, including managing multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Proven experience in managing agency and supplier relationships.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent copy writing skills.
  • Excellent communication, relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Strong campaign budget management experience, including expense forecasting.

Desirable

  • Experience in using CRM & Ticketing systems, in particular Tessitura.
  • Performing arts/entertainment/cultural/creative industry background with a relevant undergraduate degree.
