Role Overview:

The Marketing Specialist, CRM & Audience plays a key role in STC’s marketing strategy, developing and delivering innovative CRM and audience engagement programs that drive customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth. Collaborating with internal teams – including the Analytics and Insights team – they use data insights to create personalised and engaging customer experiences across multiple channels. The Marketing Specialist is highly organised, balancing competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and initiative. They communicate effectively with stakeholders across the organisation and exercise expert judgment to make strategic decisions, continuously seeking opportunities for innovation and improvement.

Contract and Hours of Work:  

This role is a full-time permanent contract position, Monday to Friday (38hours), based at STC Wharf Offices. As Sydney Theatre Company is a live performance organisation, you will also be required to work outside these hours from time to time. STC does have flexible working arrangements and policies for managing after hours work as agreed with the supervising manager.

Selection Criteria

Essential

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience working in CRM, Digital Marketing, Data & Analytics or a related field.
  • Experience in planning, developing and executing CRM activities, including email marketing campaigns.
  • High level of proficiency in Tessitura.
  • Strong analytical mindset, capable of identifying and proactively addressing challenges.
  • Commitment to maintaining and developing existing and future audiences.
  • Excellent communication, relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Strong project management skills and an ability to prioritise competing work commitments.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to take direction and work as part of a team. 
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Developed and demonstrated skills in time management. 
  • Able to take initiative and self-direction. 

Desirable

  • Experience in marketing and an interest in performing arts and entertainment.
  • An undergraduate degree in marketing, communications, arts or social science.
