The Role:
Sydney Harbour Hotel is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our Hotel Maintenance department. We are looking for a proactive and solutions-focused professional who remains calm under pressure, brings a positive mindset to every challenge and is committed to delivering service excellence.
Reporting to the General Manager, this position is responsible for the overall presentation of the hotel's building and its critical systems. You will lead the Maintenance department ensuring the property operates smoothly, safely and in line with brand standards.
About you:
We are seeking applications from hands on, trade experienced professionals with a proven track record in asset maintenance and team leadership. While previous hotel experience is advantageous, applicants with a background in large-scale facilities management are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong understanding of WH&S and compliance, with the capability to manage and oversee multiple maintenance projects simultaneously
- Exceptional communication skills with high level of attention to detail
- A guest centric mindset, consistently striving to exceed expectations at every opportunity
- Financial and administrative acumen, with the ability to manage budgets, reports and planning processes effectively
- Proactive approach to managing external contractors and suppliers, ensuring work is scheduled, completed to standard and within required timeframes
- Ability to build and maintain long term relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders
