The role:

Are you a natural deal-maker who thrives on winning new business and influencing major infrastructure projects from the ground up? This is an opportunity to step into a high-impact BDM role where you’ll take ownership of building pipeline, shaping specifications, and securing supply agreements across some of WA’s most significant civil projects. The Opportunity:

This is a true hunter role (90% new business) where you’ll:

  • Identify, pursue and secure new opportunities across major civil and infrastructure projects
  • Build, manage and convert a strong pipeline of high-value deals ($2M–$4M)
  • Proactively map the market to identify upcoming projects and key decision-makers
  • Influence specifications early to position products ahead of tender stage
  • Lead commercial negotiations, including pricing and trading terms
  • Partner with internal teams on tenders, estimating and strategic bids
  • Maintain regular engagement with contractors, councils and developers to stay close to market activity

To support your success, you’ll also:

  • Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and forecasting to support business planning
  • Track sales performance, project progress and key account activity
  • Provide market insights and competitor intelligence to guide commercial decisions
  • Keep CRM systems updated with opportunities, contacts and engagement activity
  • Ensure smooth handover and collaboration with operations teams post-sale
  • Stay across industry trends, pricing movements and project pipelines within WA

About You:

You’re a commercially driven, well-connected professional who knows how to open doors and close deals.

You’ll bring:

  • Proven success in new business development within civil, construction or infrastructure markets
  • Strong network across WA contractors, local government and/or developers
  • Experience in aggregates, asphalt, quarry products or construction materials (highly regarded)
  • Exposure to tendering, estimating and contract negotiations
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and understand pricing/margins
  • A proactive, self-driven approach with the ability to operate autonomously
  • Current driver’s licence and willingness to be in the field

Benefits:
