About the Role
Step into a role where data meets innovation and ideas turn into intelligent outcomes.
As the Domain Architect – Data & AI, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping how Super Retail Group harnesses the power of data, analytics, and artificial intelligence to drive smarter decisions and better customer experiences.
This is your opportunity to design the backbone of a modern, enterprise-wide data ecosystem—defining the architecture, standards, and strategies that enable scalable, secure, and future-ready solutions. Working across the full data lifecycle, you’ll empower teams to unlock trusted insights, deliver advanced analytics, and champion responsible AI, all while influencing the next generation of retail technology.
Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Defining and governing data and AI architectures across ingestion, integration, storage, processing, analytics, and AI/ML platforms.
- Designing end-to-end data and AI solutions, including batch and streaming data pipelines, semantic layers, analytics products, and AI-enabled use cases.
- Shaping and evolving the data and AI innovation pipeline, enabling experimentation and scalable adoption of advanced analytics and AI.
- Providing specialist architectural advice in data platforms, analytics, and AI/ML to programs, projects, and operational teams.
- Developing and communicating plans in the form of Enterprise & Domain Roadmaps to drive forward the strategy and related change planning.
This role offers the flexibility to be based in either Brisbane (Strathpine, preferred location) or Sydney (Rhodes), with a hybrid work model.
About you
We’re seeking a forward-thinking Data & AI architect who thrives on turning complexity into clarity. With a strong foundation in enterprise data architecture, you bring deep expertise across data platforms, analytics, and emerging AI capabilities, along with a passion for designing scalable and future-ready solutions.
An exceptional communicator and collaborator, you build trust across technical and business stakeholders, influencing decisions and driving alignment. You’re passionate about enabling trusted data, unlocking insights, and ensuring AI is applied responsibly to deliver real business value.
In addition, you have:
- Broad knowledge and experience in designing scalable, modular data architectures across multiple platforms, particularly SAP ERP, Salesforce Data Cloud, and related platforms
- Knowledge and experience with enterprise data governance and master data, with a focus on system data mastering
- Highly developed interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with strong customer focus and the ability to understand issues, manage expectations, gain agreement, and resolve conflicts
- Experience with enterprise architecture approaches and frameworks; TOGAF certification is desirable.
- Familiarity with retail IT environments and the associated business and technology challenges will be highly regarded.
