About the Role...If you’re a strong Store or Area Manager with deep retail operations experience and a passion for coaching, problem-solving and protecting what matters most, this Asset Protection Advisor role is your next step. You’ll leverage your operational know-how to reduce risk, strengthen controls, uplift standards and influence leaders across stores, supply chain and key partners—making a real impact across the network.

You’ll enjoy flexible working across home and stores, with travel across New Zealand (primarily the North Island)

What You’ll Be Doing

• Apply your retail knowledge to investigations – Support and lead internal and external investigations into loss and risk
• Lift operational standards – Conduct audits and strengthen financial and compliance capability in stores
• Coach and influence leaders – Partner with Store and Area Managers to embed strong operational disciplines
• Use data to drive action – Analyse trends, identify risk and translate insights into practical improvements
• Work with external partners – Collaborate with local authorities and security partners on incidents and prevention
• Support accurate stocktakes – Drive accountability, compliance and stock integrity
• Strengthen site security – Review and improve loss prevention and security controls
• Build capability through training – Deliver practical, store-ready training that builds confidence and awareness
• Be a second line of defence – Ensure policies, procedures and key controls are consistently applied

What You’ll Bring

• Proven retail leadership experience – Strong Store Manager or Area Manager background
• Deep operational understanding – You know how stores really work and where risks emerge
• Confidence influencing at all levels – From store teams to senior stakeholders
• A curious, investigative mindset – Naturally drawn to problem-solving and risk mitigation
• Commercial and analytical capability – Comfortable interpreting data and identifying trends
• Strong systems and reporting skills – Able to extract insights and turn them into action
• A solutions-focused approach – Practical, proactive and outcomes-driven
