To help bring this ambition to life, we’re offering a rare opportunity to step into the UX Design Manager role at a pivotal moment in our digital journey. You’ll play a key role in shaping how customers experience our digital platforms, driving meaningful improvements in usability, accessibility, and end‑to‑end journey flow across the Group.

Blending hands‑on design leadership with people management, you’ll lead and mentor a talented UX team while setting the standard for design excellence and fostering a cohesive, collaborative design culture across the organisation. From establishing and embedding best‑practice UX and UI frameworks to solving complex customer problems, this role offers the chance to make a tangible impact at scale.

Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Produce storyboards, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity solution designs based on UX research, analysis and experimentation activities.
  • Establishing, maintaining and enforcing UX/UI design standards and guidelines ensuring adoption and consistent application across UX Design team.
  • Evaluating design options and ensuring adherence to requirements to determine final solution.
  • Establishing design framework which ensures the incorporation of research and experimentation as a key input.
  • Promoting high-performance of design teams through leading the UX Design team day-to-day ensuring a customer centric approach.
  • Creating design practice to guide Brand and Group teams.

This role offers the flexibility to be based in Brisbane (Strathpine, preferred location), Sydney (Rhodes), or Melbourne with a hybrid work model.

About You

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring a blend of strong people leadership, strategic thinking, and deep UX capability. You’re confident setting direction, coaching and developing designers, and influencing cross‑functional stakeholders. You’re passionate about embedding consistent, user‑centred design practices across an organisation and are comfortable operating at both a strategic and hands‑on delivery level.

You enjoy working in collaborative, fast‑paced environments and are motivated by building high‑performing teams, shaping experience strategy, and seeing quality design translate into meaningful customer and business outcomes.

In this role, you will bring:

  • Hands‑on experience producing high‑quality UX and UI artefacts, including journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, storyboards and high‑fidelity designs
  • Experience establishing, evolving and embedding UX frameworks, standards and ways of working to ensure consistency and quality across teams
  • Strong web and mobile design experience, with deep knowledge of responsive, mobile‑first and cross‑device design principles
  • Experience designing complex end‑to‑end customer journeys and transactional flows across web and mobile platforms
  • Experience building, maintaining and evolving design pattern libraries and/or design systems
  • Proven experience leading, coaching and developing UX designers, fostering growth in craft, design thinking and problem‑solving capability
  • Strong customer research and analytical skills (both qualitative and quantitative), with experience applying insights to inform experience strategy and design decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to balance user needs, business objectives and technical constraints through evidence‑based design recommendations
  • Strong experience with industry‑standard UX and UI design tools, supporting collaboration, iteration, critique and effective handover to development teams
  • Understanding of design development, testing and experimentation methodologies, incorporating research findings into ongoing optimisation and improvement
  • Proven stakeholder engagement capability, including facilitating workshops, aligning priorities and clearly communicating design rationale and research outcomes to diverse audiences, including senior leaders
  • eCommerce and multi‑channel retail experience, with an understanding of how design decisions impact usability, accessibility, conversion and customer confidence
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging and design outputs for different stakeholder audiences
