Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Develop and Empower the Team: Support the DC Manager in leading and building the capability of the DC team to consistently meet both internal and external customer expectations.
- Own the Daily Operational Execution: Take full accountability for delivering the “Day of Operations” work and labour plan, while ensuring clear, concise communication with key stakeholders across the business.
- Lead Performance with Integrity: In partnership with the SRG HR team, take the lead on DC performance management processes, ensuring full compliance with legislative and internal standards.
- Manage Labour Spend with Precision: Be accountable for the DC’s day-to-day labour budget, clearly identifying and communicating the drivers of any variances from the plan.
About You: We're looking for a passionate and experienced DC Operations Manager to join our team, lead the way in our fast-paced environment, and prioritize the safety of our people.
In addition, you will have:
- Proven Leadership in DC Operations: Experience as a DC Operations Manager in a Retail or 3PL environment, with a track record of effectively leading operational teams
- Strong Commercial Acumen: Solid understanding of labour models and the associated cost impacts on operations
- Tech-Savvy and System Ready: Proficient in WMS platforms (Korber preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Committed to Safety and Compliance: Deep understanding of hazard identification, incident management, and investigation processes
- Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR): Up-to-date understanding of CoR legislation and compliance requirements
- Continuous Improvement Mindset: Exposure to Manufacturing Excellence, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma (Statistical Process Control) methodologies
- Decisive and Effective Operator: Strong operational decision-making skills with a focus on efficiency and results
- Relevant Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications or Certificate in Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline
