ABOUT THE ROLE 

We have an opportunity for a Quality and Compliance Assistant within the Safety division of Super Retail Group. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing an environmental management framework and processes for people and products.

The main functions of this role are:

  • Providing timely advice and support to the Product Compliance Specialists on matters related to product compliance and safety.
  • Assisting the Product Quality Specialists in conducting product investigations and quality assessments.
  • Implementing assurance programs in collaboration with the Manager of Product Compliance and Product Compliance Specialists.
  • Provide recommendations to the compliance leadership team when noncompliance or poor quality are detected that could affect product safety.

ABOUT YOU 

  • Experience working in a safety or quality role in a retail or manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of the principles and standards of quality assurance.
  • An understanding of mechanical and/or electrical principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Have a continuous improvement mindset when reviewing existing practices, procedures, and policies.
  • A tertiary qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering would be advantageous.
