People Advisor – 9 Month Max Term | Where Your Advice Makes a Difference Every Day

This role is all about connection, capability, and clarity — ensuring our people have the advice, tools and support they need to thrive. 

What You’ll Be Doing…As a People Advisor, you’ll be the go-to person for HR operational advice and everyday people challenges. Your impact will be felt across: 

• Providing practical, consistent HR advice to leaders and team members on people matters like performance, policy, and compliance
• Triaging and supporting workplace issues, working closely with our Workplace Relations team when needed
• Supporting HR cyclical activities and helping operationalise key People & Safety initiatives
• Creating and maintaining clear, helpful resources such as toolkits, leader guides, and process documents
• Coaching leaders to build their capability and confidence in managing their teams
• Championing the use of our systems and platforms to deliver seamless experiences
• Ensuring quality data governance and compliance across documentation and employee records

What You’ll Bring…We’re looking for a confident communicator and trusted advisor who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You’ll be great in this role if you have:

• Solid HR Foundations: Experience in a generalist HR role (around 3+ years ideal)
• Legislation Savvy: Strong working knowledge of employment legislation across AU and NZ
• Relationship Builder: Ability to build strong working relationships with leaders at all levels
• Trusted Coach & Advisor: Skilled in coaching, conflict resolution, and navigating sensitive people matters
• Self-Starter & Team Player: Strong initiative and confidence to work both autonomously and in a team
• Detail-Oriented Thinker: Excellent attention to detail, documentation skills, and a process improvement mindset
• Tech & Tools Enthusiast: Familiarity with HR systems and a love for driving capability through practical tools and guides
• Qualified & Curious: Tertiary qualification in HR, Business or related field (desired)
