Our Workplace Relations team is at the forefront of ensuring that our team members receive the benefits and entitlements they deserve while ensuring the Group maintains limited liability in employment related matters.

The Workplace Relations team contributes value by offering contemporary expertise rooted in up-to-date legal standards. This support aids in the execution of our group's strategic objectives and divisional initiatives, aligning with the broader divisional strategy.

ABOUT YOU 

In your role as an Employee Relations Expert, you'll be the go-to source for resolving internal complaints and people-related matters. You'll manage a range of complex cases and always collaborating with leaders across the organisation to fully comprehend the intricacies of each case. Your expertise will shine as you offer guidance on investigation processes, determine outcomes, and interpret policy and legislation.

 When it comes to complex case management, including external representation and thorough investigations, you'll take the lead. Your support extends beyond resolution; you'll also provide valuable coaching to People Leaders, enabling them to handle cases effectively and sensitively. And when faced with challenging decisions, you won't hesitate to escalate matters, ensuring that every issue is addressed with the utmost care and expertise.

 As a Workplace Relations Expert at Super Retail Group, we're looking for someone who embodies the following attributes and qualifications:

  • Experience: You should have a substantial background in employee relations, having navigated complex employment-related matters within a matrix organisation
  • Legislation Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in the interpretation and application of employment legislation, policies, and procedures across various jurisdictions, particularly within Australia and New Zealand.
  • Adaptability: You should excel in fluid environments, thriving in dynamic and evolving workplace scenarios while adhering to structured processes.
  •  Administrative Prowess: Strong administrative skills are a must, enabling you to efficiently manage and organize employee relations tasks and responsibilities.
  • Communication: Effective communication is key. You should be able to convey your knowledge across business policies, employment law, and processes.
  • Stakeholder Support: Confidence and experience in supporting stakeholders at various levels of the organization is vital. You will be a trusted source of guidance and support.
