About the Role

Join SRG as our Transport Compliance Officer on a max-term contract until June 2027 and play a vital role in keeping our transport network safe, compliant, and efficient across Australia and New Zealand. Based in Brisbane (Brendale), you’ll support the centralised team while acting as the key link between Group Transport, Distribution Centre operations, and our trusted transport partners.

Reporting to the Transport Compliance Manager, you’ll provide guidance and direction to carriers, drivers, DC teams, and store staff to ensure the seamless execution of multi-mode transport movements. In addition, you’ll safeguard compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements, oversee internal audits, and manage on-site processes to maintain the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.

Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Transport Control: Supports domestic transport scheduling and supply against network plan and local operations.
  • Fulfilment Performance: Supports delivery to the Group Transport’s (GT) KPI’s, working cross-functionally with GT peers, DC Team & Carriers.
  • Business Improvement: Active engagement contributing to the design and implementation of new processes, policies, documentation to support GT operational, contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Transport Compliance: Supports in monitoring safe work practices through transport operations, in compliance with company policy, safety standards, legislative & Regulatory requirements.

About you

We are seeking an experienced Transport Compliance Officer with strong background in Transport and DC (Distribution Centre) Operations. You are self-motivated and has excellent time management, planning and organisational skills.

In addition, you will bring:

  • Knowledge of multi-modal freight formats
  • Good understanding of supply and transport planning
  • Strong computer literacy, along with strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Good knowledge of National Heavy Vehicle Regulations (NHVR), standards, practices, and policies, as well Chain of Responsibility (CoR)
  • Strong presence and ability to represent Group Transport locally
