About the Role
Step into a high‑impact role as our National Pallet Manager, where you’ll take ownership of a critical part of our supply chain and drive efficiency at scale.
In this role, you will lead the management of pallet assets, processes, and movement across the Super Retail Group network—optimising for cost, service, and sustainability while ensuring strong governance and control standards.
Reporting to the National Asset Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring a robust maintenance and compliance framework, aligned with procurement standards, while leading vendor performance reviews to identify opportunities and enhance overall supply chain efficiency and performance.
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Leading the Pallet program across Super Retail Group, including enforcement of hire/ dehire practices, vendor management, and operating expenditure controls.
- Working closely with pallet providers to enable the Supply network with required volumes of pallets.
- Delivering an effective pallet control process through the Supply network.
- Supporting business improvement (cost, service, safety) across the Supply network.
- Supporting the Pallet team capability, providing leadership, professional development, training and coaching to direct reports to successfully deliver on their roles and improve department efficiency.
This role can be based in Melbourne (Truganina – preferred location), Brisbane (Strathpine), or Sydney (Rhodes), operating in a hybrid model.
About you
You have a collaborative and proactive approach and excel at building and maintaining effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, including key vendors. You are comfortable working across multiple sites and functions, influencing outcomes and driving accountability across the network.
You thrive in a fast‑paced environment and enjoy identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, streamline operations, and implement sustainable improvements that add real value to the business.
In addition, you have:
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive cost‑effective and value‑focused outcomes
- Proven experience in supplier and vendor management, including building and maintaining effective partnerships
- Demonstrated expertise in national pallet control and asset management across supply chain networks
- Solid experience in logistics and transport management, with a focus on operational efficiency
- Established leadership experience, with the ability to guide, influence, and develop teams
- Strong understanding of operational processes within supply chain or distribution centre environments
