Senior Payroll Officer – Coach, Mentor & Drive EfficiencyHybrid

Step Up & Take the Lead! We're looking for a skilled Senior Payroll Officer ready to take on more responsibility, guiding and developing a team of Payroll Officers and Administrators. Reporting to the Group Payroll Operations Manager, you’ll be the key go-to expert, ensuring smooth payroll operations for 16,000+ team members across ANZ. 

About the Role

• Oversee day-to-day payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across Australia and New Zealand.
• Coach and develop a high-performing team of Payroll Officers and Administrators—allocating work, mentoring, and supporting their growth.
• Manage monthly payroll tax, superannuation & 3^rd Party payments with precision.
• Stay ahead of legislative updates, ensuring compliance with payroll calculations, terminations, and reporting requirements.
• Act as the key contact for all ABS returns and payroll reporting.
• Champion process improvements and partner with the Payroll Leadership Team to implement meaningful change. 

About You

• Proven experience managing payroll in a large, multi-site business (Australia & ideally NZ), known as the go-to expert in your field.
• Strong technical knowledge across payroll tax, superannuation, and long service leave legislation.
• An eye for detail and ability to pivot and problem solve on the go
• Ability to perform complex reconciliations and deliver outcomes for resolutions and next steps forward
• Demonstrated leadership experience—allocating work, managing performance, or ready to take the next step into people leadership.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyse data and drive insights.
• Experience with SuccessFactors is an advantage
