About The Role… As an Accounts Receivable Officer, you’ll support the financial health and daily operations of a dynamic retail brand within a fast-paced, collaborative team. You’ll take ownership of a high-volume portfolio, managing trade accounts with a strong focus on accuracy, customer service, and efficiency, while building relationships across the business and developing your finance career.
What you’ll be doing…
- AR Ownership & Brand Management - Take charge of Accounts Receivable for your assigned brand. Overseeing approximately 400 trade accounts monthly, you will process and approve credit applications, reconcile payments accurately, and support other brands during peak periods or special projects. Keep all accounts current and compliant.
- Debt Control & Reporting Excellence - Monitor and resolve account issues: track overdue balances and analyse discrepancies. Escalate complex cases when needed to management or debt collection, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Customer & Stakeholder Partnership - Build and maintain strong relationships: act as the key contact for trade customers and internal teams including Trade, Retail
.Resolve enquiries, disputes, and payment issues efficiently, delivering a professional and positive customer experience.
What you bring…
- AR Experience - Minimum 1 year in Accounts Receivable or a similar role, demonstrating accuracy and reliability.
- Team Player & Customer Focused - Experience working collaboratively in a team environment with exposure to customer service.
- Tech-Savvy & Adaptable - Comfortable learning new systems quickly and using technology to streamline processes.
- SAP Knowledge Advantage - SAP experience is a bonus, helping you navigate systems with confidence.
- Retail Awareness - Exposure to the retail industry is preferred, giving context to trade accounts and commercial operations.
- Multi-State Account Management - Ability to manage multiple accounts
- Qualifications & Professionalism - Tertiary qualification in finance or accounting is desirable, with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
