About the Role
Are you passionate about driving value through strategic procurement? We’re looking for a proactive Category Specialist to support the continuous improvement of our Non-Stock procurement processes. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting the execution of our Non-Stock Procurement Framework and ensuring we deliver maximum value to the business.
As part of our Group Procurement Team, you’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders across the business to understand their needs, deliver savings, and manage supply risk—helping us meet our broader business objectives with confidence and clarity.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Supporting the Category Management teams in the development and execution of category plans through spend analysis, contracts review, and market research.
- Tracking and analysing key procurement performance metrics, as well as reviewing procurement reporting to assist in identifying category opportunities and priorities for Category Management teams.
- Providing support in the tender planning process.
- Providing support to Contract Officers on supplier kick-off and on-boarding processes.
- Overseeing SRG’s engagement of the procurement team by monitoring enquiries received, prioritising and assigning as necessary.
About you
We’re looking for a Procurement professional with strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You’ll need to bring a mix of technical procurement knowledge and interpersonal capabilities to succeed in this role.
In addition, you’ll have:
- Demonstrated procurement experience, including sourcing, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
- Strong technical aptitude with experience in report generation and data analysis.
- Exposure to a variety of procurement categories.
- Proven ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Understanding of contract law and risk management.
