About the Role…As Demand Planner, you'll drive inventory performance by ensuring the right stock is available at the right time. Using data-driven insights and forecasting expertise, you'll influence key business decisions, optimise stock outcomes, and enhance the customer experience across stores and online. 

What You'll Be Doing

  • Forecast Demand with Confidence - Lead end-to-end demand forecasting across your categories, including base sales, promotional activity, new product launches, and opportunity buys to ensure optimal stock availability across all channels.
  • Turn Data into Action - Analyse sales performance, market trends, seasonal patterns, and external factors to identify opportunities and provide valuable insights that support commercial decision-making.
  • Align Planning with Strategy - Partner closely with Category teams to ensure demand forecasts align with merchandise plans, while conducting post-promotional reviews to continuously improve forecasting accuracy.
  • Drive Inventory Performance - Manage replenishment planning and inventory levels, place timely purchase orders, and proactively address excess, aged, or slow-moving stock to support profitability and service levels.
  • Collaborate Across the Business - Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, working together to improve forecasting accuracy, streamline processes, and deliver exceptional customer outcomes. 

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in planning, forecasting or analytical roles within Retail, FMCG, Supply Chain or Merchandise environments
  • Strong analytical capability with a passion for interpreting data, identifying trends, and making informed decisions
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams
  • Commercial acumen and a focus on balancing inventory optimisation, customer experience, and financial outcomes
  • Experience with SAP, JDA (Blue Yonder) or similar planning systems is advantageous, but not essential
