Supercheap Auto Trade is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to help lead our Penrith Trade team, delivering exceptional service, accurate parts advice, reliable order fulfilment and on-time delivery for our trade customers. 

Our trade team is a dedicated business-to-business operation supporting local workshops and trade customers with automotive parts advice, order fulfilment and delivery services. 

 This hands-on leadership role combines automotive parts interpretation, customer service, team development and commercial performance. You’ll work alongside the team across the trade counter, phone sales, order fulfilment and delivery operations, while partnering with the Store Manager to grow trade sales, strengthen customer relationships and build a high-performing team culture.

About the Role

As the Assistant Store Manager – Trade, you’ll support the Store Manager in leading the day-to-day performance of the Trade team. You’ll ensure local workshops and trade customers receive accurate parts advice, responsive service and reliable order fulfilment. From managing trade sales performance and customer relationships to coaching team members and maintaining safe, efficient operations, you’ll play a critical role in the success of Trade in Penrith. 

A Typical Day

• Leading the trade team to deliver outstanding customer service through the trade hotline and counter 
• Supporting trade sales, gross profit and customer loyalty targets 
• Coaching team members in automotive parts interpretation and customer service excellence 
• Managing order processing, picking, packing, dispatch and local delivery operations. 
• Building strong relationships with local mechanics, workshops and trade customers 
• Monitoring workflow, service levels and operational priorities throughout the day 
• Ensuring compliance with safety, vehicle, delivery and workplace procedures 
• Supporting recruitment, training, rostering and team development activities 

To thrive here you'll bring:

• Leadership experience in retail, trade, automotive, fulfilment or a similar customer-focused environment 
• Automotive parts interpretation experience and strong product knowledge 
• Experience leading customer service across phone, counter and business-to-business channels 
• Ability to coach, motivate and develop a high-performing team 
• Experience delivering sales, customer service and operational KPIs 
• Knowledge of order fulfilment processes, including picking, packing, dispatch and delivery operations. 
• Experience using customer relationship management (CRM), enterprise resource planning (ERP), point-of-sale (POS) or automotive parts catalogue systems. 
• A commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence 
• Current unrestricted Class C Driver Licence 

Local trade account management, automotive retail or business-to-business sales experience will be highly regarded but is not essential.
