Due to an internal promotion, we’re looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join our New Plymouth store—one of our top 3 in New Zealand.

It may have a smaller footprint, but it’s a fast-paced, high-volume environment where people leadership and health & safety come first. We’re looking for someone who can lead from the front, build strong team culture, and bring calm, steady leadership into a busy store.

About the role

As an Assistant Store Manager, you're key in supporting the Store Manager to help your store reach its full sales potential, operate smoothly, and create a positive, engaging work environment. To thrive here, you should ideally have: 

  • Management or leadership experience, leading by example and delivering exceptional customer service. Retail experience is not essential—we’re more interested in how you lead and show up for your team.
  • The ability to motivate, inspire, and develop a passionate, high-performing team. 
  • Eager to learn all aspects of automotive retail, you bring the Super, we’ll deliver the Auto.  
  • Operational know-how in visual merchandising, stock control, loss prevention, and performance reporting.  
  • Commitment to safety, ensuring compliance with WHS programs and a safe work environment.
