About our service:
headspace Centres act as a one-stop-shop for young people who need help with mental health, physical health, alcohol and other drugs and/or work and study support.

Role Overview:
The Clinical Service Manager will have a pivotal role in the overall leadership and management of the headspace Geelong, Armstrong Creek and Corio in accordance with operational guidelines, including:
- Providing high-level clinical oversight and ensuring safety, effective and high-quality service delivery for young people and their families.
- Leading and developing a multi-disciplinary team to provide integrated primary care and mental health support for all accessing headspace.
- Overseeing and contributing to the development and implementation of clinical systems.
- Ensuring the Headspace team operates within a framework of continuous quality improvement and risk management.
- Facilitating and convening meetings for Clinical Leadership and Governance and associated subcommittees.
- Leading the clinical governance of the teams, inclusive of oversight of clinical systems, clinical quality and risk management, human resource management, and compliance with Stride and headspace clinical reporting requirements. Contributing to quality service delivery and improved clinical outcomes for young people by supporting Clinical Leadership group, and working collaboratively with the Operations Managers, Clinical Services Managers and Regional Manager.
- Collaborating with external stakeholders such as headspace National, local Primary Health Care Networks, Hospital and Health Services and other community and health partners to enhance service integration and strategic outcomes.
- Providing clinical leadership in areas such as complex case review, risk assessment, incident management, clinical audits, and best practice frameworks. Ensuring service delivery is inclusive, evidence-based, and aligned with the four core headspace streams: mental health, AOD (alcohol and other drugs), physical/sexual health, and vocational support.
- Supporting workforce development, supervision, and performance management in collaboration with People & Culture and Operations teams.
- This role is essential to achieving improved clinical outcomes, greater access to care, and safer service delivery through a structured clinical governance framework and a culture of continuous evaluation and innovation.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience managing a mental health service
- Demonstrated experience working within a recovery-based model
- Demonstrated expertise in the management of a multi-disciplinary service delivery team, with the ability to lead the coordination of care for people with complex needs including consultation and engagement with a wide range of professionals/stakeholders.
- Highly developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills including the ability to work and communicate effectively with clients, their families, community agencies and other professionals.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a high demand work environment and to exercise judgment and initiative.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a WWCC
- Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
- Current Driver's License
