Our Service:
headspace Centres act as a one-stop-shop for young people who need help with mental health, physical health, alcohol and other drugs and/or work and study support.
The headspace Early Psychosis program provides specialised assessment, early intervention, assertive outreach, and case management for young people aged 12-25 in the South East Queensland region who are at risk of, or experiencing, a first episode of psychosis.

Role overview:
The Clinical Team Leader role has responsibility for the provision of clinical leadership and management to the immediate clinical team members within the SE Qld headspace Early Psychosis Cluster (partnership with Lives Lived Well). The focus of this role is on the day to day delivery of excellence in quality care provision, ensuring all clinical governance and compliance targets are implemented and met, as well as supporting on an ad-hoc basis the Clinical Service Manager in their absence, or as required. This role is also expected to work closely with the consultant psychiatrist of the headspace Early Psychosis program.
Requirements:
- Must have one of the following: Full AHPRA registration as a Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Mental Health Occupational Therapist or Mental Health Nurse, OR AASW registration as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (will also consider candidates working towards mental health accreditation or eligible to apply)
- Ideally at least 1 year's experience in the management of a multi-disciplinary service delivery team
- Desirable demonstrated experience in working with young people experiencing early psychosis and or first episode of psychosis and their families.
- Experience, and demonstrated skills and knowledge with respect to the assertive engagement, case management, crisis intervention and management of complex young people in the acute phase of a mental illness
- Highly developed communication (including written) and interpersonal skills
- The ability to engage with young people, advocate on their behalf and establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, clients, families & friends and stakeholders.
- Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a Blue Card
- Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
