Job Description

Our client, a leading biopharmaceutical company, is looking to hire someone who can bring added value to the team. If you’re dedicated, energetic and detail-oriented, this could be the perfect role for you. Responsibilities include:



1) Direct the work of the Maintenance Department in the plant

2) Plan, layout and schedule work for functional areas of responsibility and delegate work on a project or individual basis to subordinate staff members

3) Hire, train, monitor, discipline, evaluate and develop employees

4) Assist subordinates with diagnosing and remedying difficult problems

5) Enforce organizational policies and employee rules of conduct

6) Monitor and regulate the operation of departmental areas and investigate solutions to complex problems affecting functional areas of responsibility

7) Source outside vendors

8) Establish project scope and needs and request quotations

9) Supervise the completion of the project

10) Develop and implement a comprehensive preventative and predictive equipment repair program

11) Develop and monitor formal control programs to track and regulate repair costs and spare parts inventories

12) Partner with engineering personnel to design, plan, schedule, and complete capital improvement projects

13) Prepare and maintain department reporting and record-keeping systems

14) Maintain good housekeeping conditions and ensure employee conformance to EHS practices and sanitation rules and regulations

15) Develop, implement, and ensure adherence to SOPs

16) Be responsible for regulatory compliance for the department

17) Develop and maintain qualifications and training standards for all maintenance personnel

18) Ensure maintenance personnel have adequate workspace and tools to perform essential tasks, repairs, and development

19) Interface with regulatory and third-party agencies, including FDA, OSHA, EPA, Fire Department

20) Develop and manage departmental budgets


Critical Requirements


1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the biopharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in maintenance management

Compensation and Other Details


Base Salary: Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
