Design Automation Engineer

Job Description

Our client, a leading medical device company, is currently seeking an ambitious Design Automation Engineer to help lead their team. This is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated candidate with a go-getter attitude and a drive to succeed. Responsibilities include:

1) Collaborate with other members of the company's Engineering Team to conceptualize, design, and document custom in-house manufacturing equipment

2) Create prototypes for quick proof-of-concept testing

3) Work with engineers, operators, machinists, and management to solve production/design challenges

4) Work as part of a team in the assembly, installation, debugging and startup of manufacturing equipment

5) Troubleshoot manufacturing problems and design permanent solutions

6) Identify and integrate new technologies to improve efficiency, output, and margin

7) Lead small project teams

8) Comply with the company’s policies and procedures

9) Perform other duties as assigned

Critical Requirements

1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the medical device industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in automation engineering
