Job Description

Our client, a leading biotechnology company, is looking to hire someone who can bring added value to the team. 1) Partner with management to develop and implement solutions to organizational and people-related opportunities and challenges based upon HR expertise and in-depth understanding of the business

2) Provide leadership on matters of workforce planning, organizational design and effectiveness, employee engagement, employee relations, talent and performance management, effective communication, organizational change, and the creation of a winning culture

3) Establish credibility throughout the organization and position yourself as an effective problem solver of people and organizational issues

4) Coach and develop leaders to support them while engage in critical people activities and enable them to make sound decisions

5) Partner with management to develop proactive organizational workforce staffing strategies to attract, recruit and retain top-caliber talent in a high-performance environment

6) Diagnose organization issues and determine root causes to develop evidence-based recommendations, business cases and action plans

7) Establish and maintain collaborative, credible, trusting relationships across all levels of the organization as well as with external partners

8) Partner with senior management to develop and implement competitive total reward programs and practices which provide motivation, incentives and rewards for effective employee performance

9) Act as a senior advisor on all employee relations matters and effectively communicate to all levels of the organization

10) Facilitate employee conflict resolution and manage complex employee relations issues with an approach grounded in solutions that account for compliance and legal risk with business needs and in alignment with company’s core values and culture

11) Develop, strengthen and implement appropriate programs to facilitate optimal performance of all teams

12) Provide ongoing direct and actionable performance coaching and feedback to the organization’s people leaders

13) Oversee annual performance management cycle and compensation planning for supported teams

14) Contribute to the creation and execution of the company-wide people and culture strategy

15) Help drive and maintain company culture by being a cultural ambassador and driving employee engagement initiatives aligned with company’s core values

16) Develop and implement change management initiatives that facilitate organizational growth and transformation and effect continuous improvement

17) Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements and policies related to day-to-day management of people to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance

18) Assist within all areas of people and culture, including participating in cross-functional teams and leading companywide projects and initiatives


Critical Requirements


1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the biotechnology industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in human resources management

Compensation and Other Details


Base Salary: Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
